Guangzhou Laboratory—Leica Biological System Pathology New Technology Exchange Conference and Experimental Animal Center Pathology Instrument Operation Technology Training Conference

Date:2023-09-12

On September 7, 2023, Guangzhou Bio-key Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Leica Microsystems (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. jointly hosted the Guangzhou Laboratory Leica Biosystems Pathology New Technology Exchange Conference and the Experimental Animal Center Pathology Instrument Operation Technology Training Conference. The training conference was hosted by Dr. Zhang Qianqian from Guangzhou National Laboratory, and Dr. Wang Yongbin, Senior Product Expert of Leica Biosystems, Ms. Zhou Huan, Senior Application Supervisor of Leica Biosystems, and Pan Qingdong, Application Engineer of Leica Biosystems, among others, participated in the training.

Dr. Wang Yongbin showcased and discussed the latest achievements of multi-color fluorescence staining technology in related fields, with the themes of "Application of Multicolor Fluorescence Staining Scheme in Biomedical Research" and "Automated Solution for Biomarker Space in situ Detection". He also discussed common problems and solutions in the process from conventional pathology to multi-color fluorescence staining experiments with teachers from Guangzhou Laboratory, as well as the future development direction of multi-color fluorescence staining schemes in the field of life sciences.

Dr. Zhang Qianqian also shared with everyone the specific process and precautions for operating pathological experiments. In addition, Ms. Zhou Huan, Senior Application Manager of Leica Biosystems, and Mr. Pan Qingdong, Application Engineer, provided training on the operation, use, and maintenance of existing pathological instruments in the laboratory. The relevant pathological instruments include fully automatic tissue dehydrators, tissue embedding machines, fully automatic rotary slicers, frozen slicers, fully automatic staining and sealing workstations, and digital pathological scanning systems.

This exchange meeting not only provides a platform for communication and sharing among users, but also effectively promotes the innovation and development of immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence technology. During the training, wonderful speeches and discussions were given on topics such as "Application of Multicolor Fluorescence Staining Scheme in Biomedical Research" and "Automated Solution for Biomarker Spatial in situ Detection", including sample processing methods, technological iteration updates, application cases, standard interpretation, etc., which provided users with a deeper understanding of the application of multi-color fluorescence technology.
